Biography: Justin C. Gage

Justin GageI was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Jefferson City, Missouri when I was five years old.  From the age of eight thru thirteen, I participated in Punt, Pass and Kick and competed at the Chiefs Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri and the Lions Stadium in Detroit, Michigan. I also competed in a six state regional competition, earning my way to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii in 1993 as a thirteen year old.

As a youth, I also participated in AAU Basketball, Hershey’s Track and Field, Babe Ruth Baseball, High School Track, High School Basketball and High School Football. Participating in structured activities provided me with an opportunity to travel throughout the Continental United States, and provided me with an advantage on how to manage myself away from home as well as gaining experience in traveling.

I attended Jefferson City Public Schools, Jefferson City High School, and the University of Missouri Columbia, where I was a two sport athlete, playing both football and basketball while at the University.

In 2003 I was drafted into the NFL by the Chicago Bears where I spent four years as a Wide Receiver before joining the Tennessee Titans in 2007. While in Chicago, I co-hosted an offseason youth football camp at Concordia University in Chicago with former Chicago Bears guard and second cousin, Revie Sorey. Revie also played for the Chicago Bears as a right guard who blocked for Walter Payton.

In addition to being a NFL professional athlete, I am President and Founder of Twelve Starz Foundation.  Twelve Starz  mission  is to provide assistance to  disadvantaged youth, supporting educational, athletic and life skills events for those, who because of their socio-economic status may not have such opportunities.

I am active with the Jefferson City Boys and Girls Club, the Jefferson City Jay Football Foundation, and have a keen interest in providing assistance to charitable organizations that support those who are faced with challenges that life offers.
